Challenge
The client needed to turn an idea into a product: a baby-monitoring system with a camera, a microphone and an innovative pulse sensor shaped as a clip-on buckle, inspired by clothing-store security tags. The challenge was to prove engineering feasibility, adapt the product for mass production and reduce costs, without compromising function.
Approach
We ran a full engineering sprint: comprehensive requirements characterization, selection of the right manufacturing method, detailed engineering, feasibility and scalability testing for mass production, and optimization to reduce costs. It concluded with a first prototype that proves the concept and serves as the basis for moving to production.
Outcome
A first working prototype, ready for the move to production, with a clear manufacturing path, proven feasibility and a cost adapted to mass production - shortening the road from idea to product.
