Cost reduction review
Before you change supplier check whether it can be made more cleverly
A high price usually comes not from the supplier but from the design, the material or the production method. We find out exactly where.
What you get
A cost reduction report
Opportunities in the design, the material and the method
- ISO 9001:2015
- DFM / DfAM
- Analysis independent of any supplier
The product is in production, but the numbers do not add up
This is what brings clients to this review:
- The unit cost is too high to sell at a sensible margin.
- The supplier says this is the price, and there is no way to compare without engineering data.
- The product was designed years ago and has never been revisited against newer technologies.
- A high reject rate is pushing up the cost of the whole series.
Exactly what you get
-
A breakdown of the cost structure
What is actually making the part expensive: material, machine time, finishing or assembly.
-
Design changes that reduce cost
Changes that bring the price down without hurting function or compliance.
-
Material and technology alternatives
Where switching method drops the price significantly.
-
An estimate of the saving
How much each recommendation is expected to save, so you know what is worth doing first.
How it works
-
1
Send the file and the cost data
The file, the annual quantity and the current price per unit.
-
2
Engineering analysis
We go over the design, the material and the production method, looking for money left on the table.
-
3
You get the report
With recommendations ranked by the size of the saving and the effort to implement.
A good fit if
- You have a product already in production
- You know what it currently costs
- The quantities justify optimisation
- You are open to a design change
Less of a fit if
-
The product is not in production yet
A manufacturing feasibility check heads the problem off in advance.

-
The problem is the process, not the part
Production optimisation looks at the whole line.
Details →
-
You are about to invest in tooling
A production readiness score is the right check.

Companies that already manufacture with us
From a single prototype to tens of thousands of parts in series production.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to tell you what I pay today?
It helps a great deal, but it is possible without. Without baseline figures we can point to opportunities but not quantify the saving.
Will you try to sell me production with you?
The report is independent. If the conclusion is to stay with your current supplier and change only the design, that is what it will say.
How much can be saved?
It varies widely by product. We will not promise a percentage up front - the report will show you real numbers for your case.
Is this relevant for small quantities?
Less so. The larger the annual quantity, the more the accumulated saving justifies the review.
