Production launch

From a prototype that works to a product made again and again

The move into series production: preparation, a zero series, a production file, quality control and pricing by quantity, without falling in love with the one part that came out well.

What you get The move into production Zero series, production file, QC and series pricing
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • A proper production file
  • Pricing by quantity band

One prototype that works is not production

This is what breaks in the move to a series:

Exactly what you get

  • Preparation for production The design and the files are adapted for repeatable production at quantity.
  • A zero series A first controlled run that proves the process is stable before anyone scales up.
  • A production file A document defining exactly how the part is made, so the result does not depend on one particular person.
  • Quality control and pricing Clear acceptance criteria and a unit price by quantity band.

How it works

  1. 1 Review the product We go over the design, the prototype and the production requirements.
  2. 2 Run a zero series We produce a controlled run and fix whatever surfaces in it.
  3. 3 Move into ongoing production With a production file, quality control and settled pricing.

A good fit if

  • You have a prototype that works
  • Development is finished
  • You need to produce at quantity and regularly
  • You want a documented process, not one tied to a person

Less of a fit if

  • The design is not final yet Bridge production keeps you flexible until it settles. Details →
  • You are not sure the design is ready A production readiness score is the check that comes first. Details →
  • You are already producing and want to improve Production optimisation is aimed exactly there. Details →

Frequently asked questions

What is a zero series?

A first controlled run whose purpose is to expose production problems before you make quantity. Whatever surfaces in it is fixed before anyone scales.

Does the production file belong to us?

Yes. It is your document and you can take it to any supplier.

Do you produce the series themselves as well?

Yes, and that is the common case. But you can also have us support the launch only and produce elsewhere.

What about very large quantities?

We will tell you honestly from which quantity other methods work out better, and support the move to them.
